Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The Australian legal practitioner about whom a complaint is made may, within a period specified by the Law Society, make submissions to it about the complaint or its subject matter or both.
(2) The Society may at its discretion extend the period in which submissions may be made.
(3) The Society must consider the submissions made within the permitted period before deciding what action is to be taken in relation to the complaint.
