Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The Board may give a person a notice directing the person to stop clearing land if the Board believes on reasonable grounds that the clearing has contravened, is contravening or will contravene:
(a) a condition of a clearing permit; or
(b) a provision of this Act.
(2) The stop work direction must be in writing and specify:
(a) the clearing and the land that the direction applies to; and
(b) that the direction remains in force until revoked by the Board.
(3) The Board may do any of the following:
(a) revoke a stop work direction;
(b) vary a stop work direction.
