TEACHER REGISTRATION (NORTHERN TERRITORY) ACT 2004 - SECT 55

    (1)     If the Board decides to hold a preliminary investigation, the Board must appoint one of the following (the investigator ) to conduct the investigation:

        (a)     the Director;

        (ab)     another person whom the Board is satisfied:

            (i)     is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience; and

            (ii)     is otherwise appropriate to be appointed;

        (b)     an investigation panel.

    (2)     An investigation panel must be comprised of:

        (a)     2 or 3 Board members; or

        (b)     the Director and one or 2 Board members.
