FIREARMS REGULATIONS 1997 - REG 33

Recognition of interstate licences

    (1)     For section 92(b) of the Act, a person who holds a corresponding licence authorising the possession or use of a category A firearm or a category B firearm who is residing temporarily in the Territory is not required to hold a licence to possess or use the firearm for any purpose for which the person is authorised to possess or use the firearm in the State or Territory that issued the corresponding licence.

    (2)     In subregulation (1), residing temporarily means residing for a period less than 3 months.
