Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) A person, other than the owner of a dog, who without reasonable cause removes an identification device from a registered dog commits an offence.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
(2) An offence against clause (1) is an offence of strict liability.
(3) It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence against clause (1) if the defendant has a reasonable excuse.
