Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) This rule applies to the taxation of the costs payable to a solicitor by his client for work done in a contentious matter where at the time the work was completed no proceeding had been commenced by or against the client in respect of the matter in a court or before a tribunal.
(2) Costs for work in a matter to which this rule applies shall be allowed in accordance with the scale of costs of the court or tribunal in or before which, in the opinion of the Taxing Master, it would be appropriate to commence a proceeding in respect of the matter or, if that court or tribunal has no scale of costs, in accordance with the Appendix.
