(1) A person commits an offence if:
(a) the person is in control of an animal; and
(b) the person intentionally engages in conduct; and
(c) the conduct results in the animal not being provided with at least the minimum level of care and the person is reckless in relation to that result.
Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months.
(2) Strict liability applies to subsection (1)(a).
