Section 48

repeal, insert

48     Chief Officer

    (1)     The Commissioner must appoint a public sector employee to be the Chief Officer.

    (2)     Subject to the directions of the Commissioner, the Chief Officer has operational responsibility for the NTES.

    (3)     The Chief Officer has the powers necessary to perform the Chief Officer's functions.
