Northern Territory Numbered Acts Northern Territory Numbered Acts(1) The CEO may appoint a person to act as the COO of a Service during any period, or during all periods, when the COO of the Service is absent from duty or from the Territory, or during a vacancy in the office.
(2) A person appointed to act as the COO of a Service during a vacancy in the office must not continue to act in the office for more than 12 months after the occurrence of the vacancy.
