Northern Territory Numbered Acts Northern Territory Numbered Acts(1) A council member is elected or appointed for a term of office ending at the conclusion of the next general election following the member's election or appointment.
(2) If a member continues to be eligible for membership, the member is eligible for re-election for a successive term or terms.
