RACING AND WAGERING ACT 2024 (NO 8 OF 2024) - SECT 117

    (1)     A person commits an offence if the person:

    (a)     intentionally conducts the business of wagering; and

    (b)     does not hold a licence authorising that conduct.

Maximum penalty:     500 penalty units.

    (2)     Strict liability applies to subsection (1)(b).
