RACING AND WAGERING ACT 2024 (NO 8 OF 2024) - SECT 83

    (1)     A person commits an offence if the person:

    (a)     is an occupier of a place; and

    (b)     allows another person to conduct a race meeting in that place contrary to this Act.

Maximum penalty:     500 penalty units.

    (2)     An offence against subsection (1) is an offence of strict liability.
