Explanatory Notes

General Outline

Policy Objectives of the Bill
The Bill provides supplementary appropriation for Legislative Assembly
and the parliamentary service for 2005-2006 for unforeseen expenditure
that occurred in that financial year.
The supplementary appropriation sought is based on the consolidated
fund financial report, noting unforeseen expenditure to be appropriated in
2005-06, which has been prepared by the Treasurer and reported upon by
the Auditor-General in accordance with Section 38A of the Financial
Administration and Audit Act 1977. A brief explanation of departmental
unforeseen expenditure requirements has been provided as part of the
consolidated fund financial report 2005-06.




Notes On Provisions

Clause 1 provides for the short title of the Act.
Clause 2 (1) authorises the Treasurer to pay $1 572 000 from the
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and the parliamentary
service as stated in the schedule for the financial year starting 1 July 2005.
Clause 2 (2) provides that for the Legislative Assembly and the
parliamentary service, the total amount mentioned in the schedule is
appropriated for application to its departmental outputs, equity adjustment
and administered items for the year as stated in the schedule.
