Act’s freedom from associated highly objectionable conduct purpose and how it is to be achieved
125 Act’s freedom from associated highly objectionable conduct purpose and
how it is to be achieved
(1) One of the purposes of the Act is to promote equality of opportunity for
everyone by prohibiting and penalising certain highly objectionable conduct
that is inconsistent with the other purposes of the Act .
(2) This purpose is
to be achieved by— (a) prohibiting certain conduct; and
(b) allowing a
complaint under chapter 7 to be made against a person who has engaged in that
conduct; and
(c) making that conduct an offence; and
(d) using the agencies
and procedures established under chapter 7 and the relevant tribunal Act to
deal with the complaint or offence.
