Termination of appointment
213 Termination of appointment
(1) The Governor in Council may terminate the appointment of a member of the
Land Tribunal if the member— (a) becomes mentally or physically incapable of
satisfactorily performing the member’s duties; or
(b) is convicted of an
indictable offence (whether in Queensland or elsewhere); or
(c) is guilty of
misconduct of a kind that could warrant dismissal from the public service if
the member were an officer of the public service; or
(d) contravenes
section 212 or a direction given under that section; or
(e) in the case of
the chairperson—is absent, without the Minister’s leave and without
reasonable excuse, for 14 consecutive days or 28 days in any 12 months.
(2)
Subsection (1) (c) applies only to a non-presiding member.
