125 Seizure powers for dogs
(1) If an authorised person has, under part 2 , entered a place and the person
reasonably suspects a dog mentioned in the part is at the place, the person
may seize the dog if— (a) the person reasonably believes the dog— (i) has
attacked, threatened to attack or acted in a way that causes fear to, a person
or another animal; or
(ii) is, or may be, a risk to community health or
safety; or
(b) the person reasonably believes the dog is a prohibited dog; or
(c) if the dog is a regulated dog—a compliance notice has been given in
relation to the dog and the person reasonably believes the notice has not been
complied with.
(2) Also, if the place is a public place, the person may seize
the dog if no person is exercising effective control of the dog.
