Failure to comply with compliance notice
134 Failure to comply with compliance notice
(1) A person to whom a compliance notice has been given must comply with the
notice unless the person has a reasonable excuse. Penalty— Maximum
penalty—150 penalty units.
Note— See, however, the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 45 .
(2)
It is a reasonable excuse if, when the notice was given, the person had not
committed, was not committing or was not about to commit, the offence stated
in the notice.
