BIOLOGICAL CONTROL ACT 1987 - SECT 32
Declaration of organisms declared under a relevant law
(1) Where organisms of a particular kind are organisms that for the purposes
of a relevant law may be controlled by biological means, the Authority may, by
notification published in the Gazette, declare those organisms to be
target organisms for the purposes of this Act.
(2) Where— (a)
prescribed organisms of a particular kind are organisms that for the purposes
of a relevant law may be released to control other organisms; and
(b) those
other organisms are target organisms;
the Authority shall, by notification
published in the Gazette, declare those first mentioned organisms to be
agent organisms for the purposes of this Act.
(3) A notification under
subsection (2) declaring organisms of a particular kind to be agent organisms
may set out conditions under which the organisms may be released, which
conditions may be or include— (a) conditions specifying the persons who may
release those organisms; or
(b) conditions specifying the circumstances in
which those organisms may be released.
