Jurisdiction and powers of appeal tribunal on appeal
294 Jurisdiction and powers of appeal tribunal on appeal
(1) In deciding an appeal, in addition to the jurisdiction and powers of the
appeal tribunal under the QCAT Act , the tribunal may also exercise all the
jurisdiction and powers of an adjudicator under this Act.
(2) The appeal
tribunal may amend or substitute an order only if the adjudicator, who made
the order being appealed, would have had jurisdiction to make the amended or
substituted order or decision.
(3) Subsection (2) does not limit any power of
the appeal tribunal to award costs for a proceeding under the QCAT Act .
