146ZQ Report about authorities for assumed identities etc.
(1) As soon as practicable after the end of each financial year, the
chairperson must give to the chairperson of the parliamentary committee a
written report containing the following information in relation to the
commission for the financial year— (a) the number of authorities granted;
(b) a general description of the activities undertaken by authorised persons
when using assumed identities under this part;
(c) the number of applications
for an authority that were refused;
(d) a statement about whether or not any
fraud or other unlawful activity was identified by an audit under
section 146ZS ;
(e) any other information relating to authorities, assumed
identities or the administration of this part that the parliamentary
commissioner considers appropriate.
(2) The report must not contain
information that, if made public, could reasonably be expected to— (a)
endanger a person’s safety; or
(b) prejudice an investigation or
prosecution; or
(c) compromise any law enforcement agency’s operational
activities or methodologies.
(3) The chairperson of the parliamentary
committee must table a copy of the report in the Legislative Assembly within
14 sitting days after the chairperson receives the report.
(4) This section
does not limit section 64 .
