Failure to comply with requirement about attendance
146 Failure to comply with requirement about attendance
(1) A person of whom a requirement is made under section 145 must not, unless
the person has a reasonable excuse— (a) fail to attend before the inspector
at the time and place stated in the notice imposing the requirement; or
(b)
when attending before the inspector— (i) fail to comply with a requirement
to answer a question or give information; or
(ii) state anything the person
knows is false or misleading in a material particular.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
(2) It is a reasonable excuse for a
person to fail to comply with a requirement to answer a question or give
information if complying with the requirement might tend to incriminate the
person.
