CRIMINAL CODE 1899 - SECT 644D
Noncompliance is contempt of court
644D Noncompliance is contempt of court
(1) Failure to comply with a subpoena without lawful excuse is contempt of
court and a person who fails to comply may be dealt with for contempt of
court.
(2) Nothing in section 644B or 644C affects a court’s power to
punish for contempt.
