Powers of appellate court—appearance of respondent
121 Powers of appellate court—appearance of respondent
(1) This section applies if a respondent appears before an appellate court at
the hearing for an appeal.
(2) In deciding the appeal, the appellate court
may— (a) confirm the decision appealed against; or
(b) vary the decision
appealed against; or
(c) set aside the decision appealed against and
either— (i) substitute another decision; or
(ii) remit the matter to the
magistrate or Childrens Court that made the decision.
