CHILD PROTECTION ACT 1999 - SECT 148BF
Chief executive may require information about child
148BF Chief executive may require information about child
(1) The chief executive may ask a person who is or was a prescribed delegate
for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander child, orally or in writing, to
give the chief executive stated information about the child within a stated
reasonable time.
(2) The person must comply with the request.
(3) A person
who gives information requested under subsection (1) who would otherwise be
required to maintain confidentiality about the information given under an Act,
oath, rule of law or practice— (a) does not contravene the Act , oath, rule
of law or practice by giving the information; and
(b) is not liable to
disciplinary action for giving the information.
(4) Also, merely because the
person gives the information, the person can not be held to have— (a)
breached any code of professional etiquette or ethics; or
(b) departed from
accepted standards of professional conduct.
