Effect of taking child into custody on existing order
19 Effect of taking child into custody on existing order
(1) This section applies if— (a) an authorised officer or police officer
takes a child into the chief executive’s custody; and
(b) a child
protection order granting custody or guardianship of the child to someone
other than the chief executive is in force.
(2) The order, so far as it
relates to the child’s custody or guardianship, ceases to have effect while
the chief executive’s custody of the child continues.
