CHILD PROTECTION ACT 1999 - SECT 70
Attendance of parties
70 Attendance of parties
(1) The chairperson, the chief executive and the parties must attend the
conference.
(2) However, subsection (1) does not require the child to attend
the conference.
(3) The parties may be represented by their legal
representatives at the conference.
(4) If the child is an Aboriginal or
Torres Strait Islander child, an
independent Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander entity for the child, or
member of the entity, may attend the conference.
(5) The public guardian may
attend the conference.
(6) No-one else can attend the conference without the
chairperson’s approval.
