COASTAL PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT ACT 1995 - SECT 166
State of the coastal zone report
166 State of the coastal zone report
(1) The chief executive must prepare and publish a report on the state of the
coastal zone at least every 4 years.
(2) The report must— (a) include an
assessment of the condition of major coastal resources; and
(b) identify
significant trends in coastal values; and
(c) review significant programs,
activities and achievements of persons and public authorities in relation to
the protection, restoration and enhancement of the coastal zone; and
(d)
evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of coastal management strategies
implemented to achieve the object of this Act.
(3) The Minister must table a
copy of the report in the Legislative Assembly within 14 sitting days after
receiving it.
