Giving information to central authorities and competent authorities in Convention countries
34 Giving information to central authorities and competent authorities in
Convention countries
(1) This section applies to— (a) a court; and
(b) the Commonwealth central
authority; and
(c) central authorities of Australia appointed as mentioned in
Article 29 , paragraph 2, of the Child Protection Convention; and
(d) other
competent authorities of Australia.
(2) If it would be consistent with this
Act or the Child Protection Convention to do so, a Queensland authority may
give information to— (a) a court or an authority of Australia to which this
section applies; or
(b) a central authority or other competent authority of a
Convention country.
