(1) A court hearing an application under this Act may issue a subpoena requiring the attendance of a person before the court.Note—See, however, section 145 (1) (a) of this Act and the Evidence Act 1977 , part 2 , division 2A .
(2) The court may require the person either to take an oath or make an affirmation.
(3) In this section—
"subpoena" means—(a) a subpoena for production; or(b) a subpoena to give evidence; or(c) a subpoena for production and to give evidence.
