DEBT COLLECTORS (FIELD AGENTS AND COLLECTION AGENTS) ACT 2014 - SECT 66
Deactivated licence may be reactivated
66 Deactivated licence may be reactivated
(1) The holder of a deactivated licence may ask the chief executive to
reactivate the licence.
(2) If the licence has been deactivated for 5 years
or more, the chief executive may reactivate the licence only if the chief
executive is satisfied— (a) the holder is a suitable person to hold a
licence and, if the holder carries on, or intends to carry on, a
regulated business with others, each person with whom the holder carries on,
or intends to carry on, the business, is a suitable person to hold a licence;
and
(b) the holder is eligible to hold the licence.
(3) A request under
subsection (1) must be made in the approved form and be accompanied by the fee
prescribed under a regulation.
(4) The chief executive may, by written notice
given to the holder, require the holder to give the chief executive within a
stated reasonable period information or material the chief executive
reasonably believes is needed to consider the request.
(5) The holder is
taken to have withdrawn the holder’s request if the holder fails to comply
with a requirement made under subsection (4) .
