Reporting loss, destruction or theft of authorities and security clearances
30A Reporting loss, destruction or theft of authorities and security
clearances
(1) This section applies if an authority or security clearance is lost,
destroyed or stolen.
(2) The holder of the authority or security clearance
must immediately notify the chief inspector or an authorised officer, as
required by subsection (3) , about the loss, destruction or theft.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
(3) The notification
may be given— (a) by notice in the approved form; or
(b) orally.
(4) If
the notification is given orally, the holder of the authority or security
clearance must also give the chief inspector or an authorised officer notice
in the approved form within 7 days after the loss, destruction or theft.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
