EXPLOSIVES ACT 1999 - SECT 72

72 Offences by witnesses
(1) A person given a notice under section 69 must not— (a) fail, without
reasonable excuse, to attend as required by the notice; or
(b) fail, without
reasonable excuse, to continue to attend as required by the chairperson of the
board of inquiry until excused from further attendance.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units.
(2) A person appearing as a witness at
the inquiry must not— (a) fail to take an oath when required by the
chairperson of the board; or
(b) fail, without reasonable excuse, to answer a
question the person is required to answer by a member of the board; or
(c)
fail, without reasonable excuse, to produce a document or thing the person is
required to produce by a notice under section 69 .
Penalty— Maximum
penalty—200 penalty units.
