(1) The chief executive may delegate the chief executive’s functions under this Act to an appropriately qualified officer of the department.
(2) Also, the chief executive may delegate the relevant chapter 10 functions to—(a) an appropriately qualified employee, other than an officer, employed in the department; or(b) an appropriately qualified employee employed in the department in which the Further Education and Training Act 2014 is administered.
(3) A delegation under subsection (1) or (2) of a relevant chapter 10 function may permit the subdelegation of the function to an appropriately qualified employee of—(a) the department; or(b) the department in which the Further Education and Training Act 2014 is administered.
(4) In this section—
"function" includes power.
"relevant chapter 10 functions" means the chief executive’s functions under chapter 10 , other than section 242 .
