Power in relation to food
205 Power in relation to food
(1) The authorised person may in relation to the food mentioned in section 203
(b) — (a) direct a person at the place to take stated reasonable steps
within a stated reasonable period; or
(b) take the reasonable steps; or
(c)
authorise another person to take the reasonable steps.
(2) The direction may
be given orally or by notice.
(3) However, if the direction is given orally,
the authorised person must as soon as practicable confirm the direction by
notice given to the person.
(4) When giving the direction under subsection
(1) (a) , the authorised person must warn the person it is an offence not to
comply with the direction unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
(5) If
the authorised person takes the steps, the authorised person also may exercise
any of the powers of an authorised person under this part.
