Obstruction of authorised officers
44 Obstruction of authorised officers
(1) A person must not obstruct an authorised officer in the exercise of a
power, unless the person has a reasonable excuse. Penalty— Maximum
penalty—40 penalty units.
(2) If a person has obstructed an authorised
officer and the authorised officer decides to proceed with the exercise of the
power, the authorised officer must warn the person that— (a) it is an
offence to obstruct the authorised officer, unless the person has a reasonable
excuse; and
(b) the authorised officer considers the person’s conduct is an
obstruction.
