Proceedings for offences
28 Proceedings for offences
(1) A prosecution for an offence against this Act shall be by way of summary
proceedings under the Justices Act 1886 upon the complaint of the registrar or
any person authorised in writing in that behalf by the Minister.
(2) The
authority of a person to make a complaint in respect of an offence against
this Act shall be presumed until the contrary is proved.
(3) Proceedings for
an offence against this Act may be instituted within 12 months after the
commission of the offence or within 6 months after the commission of the
offence comes to the knowledge of the complainant, whichever is the later
period.
