Approval relating to embargoed goods or services
44 Approval relating to embargoed goods or services
(1) If an embargo notice relating to goods has been given, the owner of the
goods or another person who has an interest in the goods may, in writing, ask
the commissioner for approval to do any of the following— (a) supply the
goods;
(b) transfer, move, alter, destroy or otherwise interfere with the
goods.
(2) If an embargo notice relating to services has been given, the
following persons may, in writing, ask the commissioner for approval to supply
the services— (a) the person who would, but for the embargo notice, supply
the services;
(b) another person whose interests would be affected if the
services were not supplied.
(3) If a request for an approval is made under
subsection (1) or (2) , the requested approval may be given, in writing, by
the commissioner.
