Other review of appointment
29 Other review of appointment
(1) The tribunal may review an appointment of a guardian or administrator for
an adult at any time— (a) on its own initiative; or
(b) for a guardian
(other than a guardian for a restrictive practice matter under chapter 5B ) or
an administrator—on the application of any of the following— (i) the
adult;
(ii) an interested person for the adult;
(iii) the public trustee;
(iv) a trustee company under the Trustee Companies Act 1968 ; or
(c) for a
guardian for a restrictive practice matter under chapter 5B —on the
application of any of the following— (i) the adult;
(ii) an interested
person for the adult;
(iii) a relevant service provider providing disability
services to the adult;
(iv) the chief executive (disability services);
(v)
the public guardian;
(vi) if the adult is subject to a forensic order,
treatment support order or treatment authority under the
Mental Health Act 2016 —the chief psychiatrist;
(vii) if the adult is a
forensic disability client—the director of forensic disability.
(2)
However, the tribunal must review the appointment of a guardian for a
restrictive practice matter under chapter 5B at least once before the term of
the appointment ends.
