Remuneration of professional administrators
48 Remuneration of professional administrators
(1) An administrator for an adult is entitled to remuneration from the adult
if the tribunal makes an order that the administrator is to be remunerated by
the adult.
(2) The tribunal may make an order under subsection (1) only if
the administrator carries on a business providing professional services.
(3)
The remuneration may not be more than the amount the tribunal considers fair
and reasonable, having regard to— (a) the nature and complexity of the
service; and
(b) the care, skill and specialised knowledge required to
provide the service; and
(c) the responsibility displayed in providing the
service; and
(d) the time within which the service was provided; and
(e) the
place where, and the circumstances in which, the service was provided.
(4)
Nothing in this section affects the right of the public trustee or a trustee
company to remuneration or commission under another Act or the Corporations
Act .
