(1) This section applies if—(a) the president considers an industrial authority has before it an industrial matter similar to an industrial matter before the full bench that should be heard in a joint session; and(b) the industrial authority agrees to the joint session.
(2) The president may—(a) if the president is a member of the full bench—participate in a joint session with the industrial authority about the industrial matter; or(b) otherwise—direct a member of the full bench to participate in joint session with the industrial authority about the industrial matter.
(3) The president or member must report the result of the joint session to the full bench.
