(1) An inspector holds office on any conditions stated in—(a) the inspector’s instrument of appointment; or(b) a signed notice given to the inspector; or(c) a regulation.
(2) The instrument of appointment, signed notice given to the inspector or regulation may limit the inspector’s powers.
(3) In exercising a power, the inspector is subject to the chief inspector’s direction.
(4) In this section—
"signed notice" means a notice signed by—(a) for the chief inspector—the Governor in Council; or(b) for another inspector—the chief executive.
