INTEGRATED RESORT DEVELOPMENT ACT 1987 - SECT 103
Member’s nominee
(1) A member of the primary thoroughfare body corporate— (a) being a
subsidiary body corporate—shall at its annual general meeting and may from
time to time thereafter; or
(b) in any other case—may from time to time;
appoint a person to represent the member and to vote on behalf of the
member at meetings of the primary thoroughfare body corporate.
(2) The
appointment of a person pursuant to subsection (1) shall not be effective
until notification in writing signed by the member or, in a case referred to
in subsection (1) (a) , by the chairperson and secretary of the body corporate
is received by the secretary of the primary thoroughfare body corporate.
(3)
The appointment of a person to represent a member at meetings of the primary
thoroughfare body corporate shall continue until— (a) notice of the
appointment of another person to represent that member; or
(b) notice of the
cancellation of the person’s appointment;
is received by the secretary of
the primary thoroughfare body corporate.
(4) A person appointed under this
section by a subsidiary body corporate must represent the subsidiary body
corporate— (a) in the way the subsidiary body corporate directs; and
(b)
subject to paragraph (a) , in a way that is in the best interests of the
subsidiary body corporate.
