Obstructing inspectors
215 Obstructing inspectors
(1) A person must not obstruct an inspector in the exercise of a power, unless
the person has a reasonable excuse for the obstruction. Penalty—
Maximum penalty—40 penalty units.
(2) If a person has obstructed an
inspector and the inspector decides to proceed with the exercise of the power,
the inspector must warn the person that— (a) it is an offence to obstruct
the inspector, unless the person has a reasonable excuse; and
(b) the
inspector considers the person’s conduct is an obstruction; and
(c) if the
person continues to obstruct the inspector, the inspector may ask a police
officer to help the inspector exercise the power.
