LAND ACT 1994 - SECT 155
Length of term leases
155 Length of term leases
(1) A term lease must not be issued for more than 50 years.
(2) However, a
term lease may be issued for up to 100 years if it is for— (a) a significant
development or the operation and maintenance of a significant development; or
(b) a timber plantation; or
(c) a development that involves existing
improvements that in the opinion of the Minister have required a high level of
investment.
