18 Applying for renewal

(1) A licensee may apply to the chief executive for the renewal of the licensee’s licence before the licence expires.

(2) The application must—

(a) be in the approved form; and

(b) be accompanied by the renewal fee prescribed by regulation.

(3) If an application is made for the renewal of a licence and the chief executive has not, before the licence expires, made a decision about whether to renew the licence, the licence is taken to continue in force until the day—

(a) the chief executive decides the application; or

(b) the licensee withdraws the application.
