Barristers not to receive trust money
246 Barristers not to receive trust money
(1) A barrister is not, in the course of practising as a barrister, to receive
trust money.
(2) Subsection (1) does not— (a) prevent a barrister receiving
money in payment of legal services that the barrister has performed; and
(b)
limit the bar association’s power to make legal profession rules in relation
to banking arrangements for fees received in advance by a barrister.
