LEGAL PROFESSION ACT 2007 - SECT 304

304 Displacement of part
(1) This section applies if this part applies to a matter under section 302 or
303 .
(2) This part ceases to apply to the matter if— (a) either or both of
the following apply— (i) the legal services are or will be provided wholly
or primarily in another jurisdiction;
(ii) the matter has a substantial
connection with another jurisdiction; and
(b) either— (i) the client, under
the corresponding law of the other jurisdiction, enters into an agreement with
the law practice that the corresponding provisions of the corresponding law
apply to the matter; or
(ii) the client notifies, under the corresponding law
of the other jurisdiction and within the time allowed by the corresponding
law, the law practice in writing that the client requires the corresponding
provisions of the corresponding law to apply to the matter.
(3) Nothing in
this section prevents the application of this part to the matter by means of a
later agreement or notice under section 303 .
