Power to assess value other than for a valuation
209 Power to assess value other than for a valuation
(1) The valuer-general may, if someone asks and pays the fee prescribed under
a regulation, assess the value of land or personal property.
(2) For land,
the assessment may be of— (a) its unimproved value, site value or improved
value; or
(b) the value of improvements on it.
(3) Section 25 applies for
subsection (2) as if the assessment were a valuation. Editor’s note—

(4) The
valuer-general must issue a certificate of the assessment.
