411 Indemnity against liability

(1) Neither the Crown, an authorised officer, police officer nor any other person who acts or purports to act under the authority of section 342 (10) , 343 , 344C or 344D shall be liable to pay damages or compensation for loss or injury suffered on account of anything done or omitted by any person acting pursuant to any provision of section 342 (10) , 343 , 344C or 344D or purporting to act bona fide and without negligence for the purposes of that provision.

(2) An authorised officer, police officer or any other person who acts or purports to act under the authority of section 342 (10) or 343 shall not be criminally liable on account of anything done pursuant to any provision of section 342 (10) or 343 or purportedly pursuant to any such provision bona fide and without negligence for the purposes of that provision.
