PETROLEUM ACT 1923 - SECT 134
Delegation by Minister or chief executive
134 Delegation by Minister or chief executive
(1) The Minister may delegate
the Minister’s powers under this Act to— (a) an appropriately qualified
public service officer or employee; or
(b) an appropriately qualified
contractor carrying out activities, relating to the administration of
this Act, for the department.
(2) The chief executive may delegate the chief
executive’s powers under this Act to a person mentioned in subsection (1) .
(3) In this section—
"appropriately qualified" includes having the qualifications, experience and
competence to exercise the power.
